4) cornea, iris, pupil, lens, retina

Is the correct sequence.

Well just so you know, light never enters iris, iris is just the coloured part of eye that has nothing to do with light. It just regulates the size of pupil by the help of cilliary muscles.

the sequence should be:-

Cornea, aqueous humour, pupil, lens, viterous humour, retina

The correct sequence of light entering the different parts of the human eye is (4) the cornea, iris, pupil, lens, and retina.

  • Color sensation and differentiation between the colors are detected by the sense organ eye and it can distinguish between millions of colors.
  • The parts of the eye such as the cornea, pupil, lens, and retina coordinate and produce the final image on the retina.
  • Light undergoes refraction from the first part of the eye i.e cornea and focuses the image to the interior parts of the eye in coordination with lens.
  • The cornea is outside the pupil while the iris is in between because the iris prevents damage to the eye from excess light and controls pupil size.
  • The lens is transparent that acts as a biconvex lens that focuses the light onto the retina. It is attached to the ciliary body.
  • Retina the last part of the eyes has sensory optic nerve fibers that transform images into electrical impulses and sent them to the brain for visualization.
