Selling price of a toy car is 600 rupees. If the profit made by the shopkeeper is 20% What is the cost of this toy?

S.P - ₹600/-
Profit - 20%
Let the C.P be X

then ,
X + 20% of X = 600
X + 0.2X = 600
1.2X = 600
X = 600/1.2
X = 500

Hence, C.P - ₹500/-

profit%=20%
cp be x
then ,
SP =CP *100/100+ Gain%
600=x*100/100+20
600=100x/120
x=720


CP =720
