Answer:

S.P. of the watch = Rs. 1140

Loss% = 5%

We know, the formula for finding the cost price of the watch is as follows

C.P. = [100 / (100-L%)] * S.P.

C.P. =  [100 / (100-5)] * 1140 = Rs. 1200

Now, the selling price of the watch in order to earn a gain of 5% is,

S.P. = [(100-G%)/100] * C.P.

⇒ S.P. = [(100-5)/100] * 1200

S.P. = Rs. 1260

Thus, the man should sell the watch for Rs. 1260.
