Answer:

Senapati Bapat was born in a Marathi Chitpawan family on 12th November 1880 in Parner.

His family was formerly from Ratnagiri.

He travelled to Britain on a government scholarship in order to study engineering.

Initially he was associated with extreme movement but later he was inspired by Gandhi doctrine of non-violence.

From 1921, Bapat led the three-year farmers' protest against the construction of the Mulshi Dam, known as satyagraha at Mulshi.
