the proverb "beneath a Stone no water flows" means that the water flows in its direction but if a Stone falls on water the water changes its direction, because the water cannot flow under a stone.it clearly means that under stress or pressure no one stays happy. like water that changes its direction as it needs space.similiarly we need some space in our life.,under pressure we cannot stay happy

The two brothers saw the inscription on the stone. The younger brother wanted to go ahead and follow the instructions while the elder brother did not want to do so. Then the younger brother said that he had heard - 'He who is afraid of the leaves must not go to the forest' and 'Beneath a stone no water flows'. That means life does not accept inactivity. In order to gain something one has to take up difficult tasks.
