Verb is a word that expresses an action or a state of being.
Verbs are categorised in two groups Action verbs & Linking verbs.
Action verbs :-
The action verb tells us what is d subject of the clause or sentence it doesn't matter it is physically or mentally.
For ex. - Rishita is going to school.
Naman thought abt that answer.
In the above two sentences we saw that the words like going & thought tells abt the action performed physically or mentally..
Linking verbs :-
They link the subject of the sentence to a word or phrase in the predicate that describes the subject..
For ex. - They were out for the party.
Mr.Sharma was my maths teacher.
In the above sent. were & was are the linking verbs..
