series arrangement increases the resistance of the wire and decreases the current in the wire and parallel connection decreases the resistance( even less than the least resistance), thus increases the current therefore it is used in household circuits

Series arrangement in an electronic circuit, increases the all-over resistance.That's why the electricity flow in the series arrangement is much more less than the parallel arrangement.
And we use different electronic appliances which consume a lot of electricity in a daily basis.
That's why we don't use the series arrangement in the household electrical circuits.If we do so ,the electronic appliances will not get efficient power for it's operation.
