Several of the flame tests were shades of red. What should be done in the lab to correctly identify one of these ions?

Hey there,

First you need to check the notable difference sin the shades of red. Note the observation and match it with the table i am giving.
===================================================
You should check that the strips of metal are clean as the may have oxides of other metal on their surface which may change the colour.
======================================================
You need to secure the data.
==============================================
Here's the table-

Calcium=BRICK RED
Cadmium=BRICK RED
Iron(II)=ORANGE BROWN
Iron(III)=ORANGE BROWN
Mercury=RED
Lithium=CRIMSON RED
Radium=CRIMSON
Scandium=ORANGE
Zicronium=MILD RED

I have only focused on metals which have flame colour near to red.

PLEASE MARK AS BRAINLIEST IF HELPFUL!!!
