SEZ are bad for environment. SEZ also known as Special Economical Zone are bad for the environment because of the following reasons:
1) these zones focus on development and industrialization of the area and thus demoting agriculture and natural use of land.
2) causing pollution is another problem, which is dealt in SEZ areas.
3) industrial setup also lead to water shortage or mismanagement of water supply in the areas near that zone due to increased demand supply in such areas.
