Fungi is a eukaryotic cell. Algae is a prokaryotic cell. That's the main difference. Algae are photosynthetic and they can perform photosynthesis but fungi cannot perform photosynthesis. Algae live around water and marshy areas where the water content is large. Fungi prefers to live in dry areas. Fungi are heterotrophic organism and they can be found on dark environment also. But algae Cannot be founded.
