When an object is placed in front of a source of light, it produces a shade or dark area behind it and that is said to be a shadow. A shadow cannot be formed in a complete dark room because we can see a shadow only when it is only light rays are obstructed by an opaque object and so that we get a shadow of the an object or anymore.
