No. of full circles can be cut = Area of aluminium strip / area of one circle
= (35/4 *5/4 )/(22/7 * 5/8* 5/8) = 35*5*7*8*8/4*4*22*5*5 =98/11 = 8 10/11.
So, No. of full circle = 8 and 10/11 cm^2 is the waste of aluminium strip.
= (35/4 *5/4 )/(22/7 * 5/8* 5/8) = 35*5*7*8*8/4*4*22*5*5 =98/11 = 8 10/11.
So, No. of full circle = 8 and 10/11 cm^2 is the waste of aluminium strip.

Solution:-
Given:
Circle diameter = 1 1/4 cm
a luminum strip = 8 3/4 cm by 1 1/4 cm
area of aluminum strip = 35/4 cm × 5/4 cm = 35×5 / 4×4 = 175/16 cm²
area of circle = 3.14 × (5/4cm)² = 3.14 × 25/16 cm² = 78.5/16 cm²
175/16 cm² ÷ 78.5/16 cm² = 175/16 × 16/78.5 = 175/78.5 = 2 18/78.5
Shalini can cut 2 full circles.
