Answer :

›»› 3 hours Geeta does work.

Given :

  • Shalu works for three hours less than four times the number of hours Geeta works. If she works for nine hours.

To Find :

  • How many hours does Geeta work for?

Solution :

Let us assume that, the work done by Geeta is x hours.

Shalu works for three hours less than four times the number of hours Geeta works.

→ Shalu works = 4x - 3

According to the given question,

She works for nine hours.

→ 4x - 3 = 9

→ 4x = 9 + 3

→ 4x = 12

→ x = 12/4

x = 3

Hence, 3 hours Geeta does work.
