so Shama's age after this period is (11x-x^2) + x which is equal to x^2

=> 11x - x^2 + x = x^2

=> 2x^2 -12x = 0

=> 2x( x-6) =0

=> x - 6 =0

=> x=6

Therefore, Shama's present age is 6 years and her mother's is 6^2=36 years old.
