Answer:

20

Step-by-step explanation:

Let number of right answer = x

Number of wrong answers = y

Now as per the question:

⇒3x−y=40 ....(1)

⇒4x−2y=50 ....(2)

Now multiplying (1) from 2 and subtracting (2) from (1) will get

⇒6x−2y−4x+2y=80−50

⇒2x=30

⇒x=15

Now putting x in (1) will get

⇒3×15−y=40

⇒45−y=40

⇒−y=40−45

⇒y=5

∴ Correct answer =15, wrong answers =5

∴total question=x+y

⇒total question=15+5

⇒total question=20
