Narration , or speech are simply the things we speak . It has two parts . and . Narration is of two types :
1 .
2.
1 . :- The narration , which is showed just the way it was spoken by the actual speaker is called direct narration . In other words , the exact words of the speaker are listed . Inverted commas (“ ”) are used to denote direct narration . The reported speech always lies inside the inverted commas .
ex:- I said, “ I am doing my homework . ”
Here , " I said " is the reporting speech , and " I am doing my homework . " is the reported speech .
2 . :- The narration , in which a certain dialogue said by a person is narrated by a second person is called indirect narration . A connector , like : that , if , whether , to etc is used to join the reporting speech and the reported speech .
ex:- I said that I was doing my homework .
Here , " I said " is the reported speech , " that " is the connector and , " I was doing my homework . " is the reported speech .
In changing from direct to indirect speech , the tense is changed in the following ways :-
Present Indefinite - Past Indefinite .
Present Continuous - Past Continuous .
Present Perfect - Past Perfect .
Present Perfect Continuous - Past Perfect Continuous .
Future tenses are also turned into past tense , according to tense , person and number .
The past tenses are same in both the narrations .
Now , your question was :-
She will say , "I have washed my clothes . "
Since this sentence is in direct speech , therefore its narration change would be :-
.
