SOLUTIONS :
1) The owner of the ship told the young man (sailor) that if he (sailor) sailed with him (the owner of the ship) then he would pay the sailor fifty shillings down.
2) "They (the sheep) sniffed, poor things, for green fields, They cried so loud I could not sleep" This quote proves that the sheep's cry made a lasting impression on the young sailor's mind.
3) Payment of good amounts of money force us to do something that can bring problem to ourselves giving a uncomfortable environment. This ia the ultimate message that the poet conveyed through this poem. The young sailor at last realised that for fifty thousand shillings down he would not sail again with sheep.
4) Yes the poem has moved and influenced my thoughts. In today's world, it's not impossible for certain people to do some works that can bring problem to themselves instead of money. But, later, when the time has already expired, they realised that they had done a great mistake. This beautiful truth has been conveyed by the poet through his poem which really touched my heart.
5) Another suitable title for the poem can be : Sailing with the sheep
