Sher Singh is hardly 12 years old. However when he sees his younger brother,Kunwar suffering from pain,he makes up his mind to do everything possible to comfort him and provide him some much-needed relief.When his mother decides to send Kunwar to the hospital which is about 50 miles away, he comes to know that the situation is very serious.Sher Singh decides to save his brother at any cost and undertakes the long journey through the forest by night.
On the way, he encounters several obstacles.He first comes across a cobra.Next he faces the peril from a whole herd of elephants.A tusker even comes very near him but still he does not turn back his steps.He wades through the icy-cold and waist deep water of the river and crosses a flooded river with a broken bridge.
But still not for a moment does Sher Singh think of giving up or returning homewards.
Atlast he made it to the hospital and his brother was declared out of danger.
