shikha's mother is four times as old as Shikha .20 years later she will be twice as old as shikha will be then . find shikha's present age.

Let shikha's age be x and her mother's be y
According to question,
y=4x _ (1)
Now after 20 years,
20+y=2(x+20) _ (2)

Substituting (1) in (2),
20+4x=2x+40
4x-2x=40-20
2x=20
x=10years

So present age of shikha is 10 years
