Shining bodies are poor radiators of heat energy whereas black bodies are the good radiators of heat. Shiny bodies are also the poor absorbers of the heat. Hence, it won't be able to radiate heat quickly or let it cool down as well. As on shiny objects heat is incident; due to the polishing most of the heat energy gets reflected back and as a result very less energy (heat) is absorbed. So we can say that shiny bodies are only good radiators of heat not good absorber.
