shiv bought some shirt and t-shirt .shirts were 35 more than the t-shirts.If the ratio of the shirts to the t -shirt was 8:3, how many of each types did he buy​

T-shirts = x
Shirts=35+x
Ratio of shirts to T-shirts =8:3
Therefore,
Shirts=8x
T-shirts =3x
Shirts=35+x so,
35+x=8x
7x=35, x=5.
T-shirts =x=5
Shirts =35+x=35+5=40
