Shiva bought 150 dozens of pen at Rs.10 per dozen and he had to bear overhead expense of Rs. 100 in this transaction . What is his profit ℅ if he sells these pens at Rs. 12 per dozen

Quantity of pen=150 dozens

Cost of 1 dozen =₹10

Cost of 150 dozens =10x150=1500

Extra overhead expenses =₹100

Total cp=1500+100=₹1600

Sp of 1 dozen =₹12

Sp of 150 dozens =12x150=₹1800


Sp>cp =>profit


Profit = sp-cp

=1800-1600

=₹200


Profit %= profit /cp x100

=200/1600 x 100

=100/8%

=25/2%

=12. 5%
