Shivaji assumed the title of Chhatrapati on June 6th, 1674. He assumed the title when he founded the Maratha kingdom and assumed the throne at Raigad. He was a valiant king and a secular ruler to respect all religions equally. He was also the founder of Maratha Empire. He also helped people to get converted to Hinduism. He had an army strength of about 100000 soldiers.
