False.
Shivalik Hills came into existence some 2 to 20 million years ago and were one of the last Himalayan ranges to be formed. The Shivalik Hills is also called the Churia Hills.
It is a mountain range of the outer Himalayas which runs from the Indus River on the west to the Brahmaputra in the east covering a distance of 2,400 kilometers.
It is basically made up of fravels, conglomerate deposits and sand that were swept by the rivers which flowed from the higher areas.
The deposits hardened and folded because of constriction that happened due to the northward movement of the Indian tectonic plate.
