Correct Question :-

Shopkeeper gives 6% discount on a printed price of a TV and got a profit of 24% . If the printed price of TV was Rs10,000 what was it's cost price?

Solution :-

Here, We have to find the CP of TV

The Marked Price of TV = Rs10,000

Discount % given on TV = 6%

Shopkeeper gains a profit = 24%

According to the question,

Sale price = 10,000 * 100 - 6 / 100

Sale Price = 10,000 * 94 / 100

Sale Price = 100 * 94

Sale price = 9,400

Now,

Sale price = Profit% /100 * CP

Therefore,

9400 = 100 + 24 / 100 * CP

9400 = 124 / 100 * CP

9400 * 100 / 124 = CP

CP = 940000/124

CP = 7580.64

Hence, The cost price of TV is Rs7580.64 .

Answer:

 \huge \red{  \underline \mathfrak \red{Solution}}

Here, We have to find the CP of TV

The Marked Price of TV = Rs10,000

Discount % given on TV = 6%

Shopkeeper gains a profit = 24%

According to the question,

Sale price = 10,000 * 100 - 6 / 100

Sale Price = 10,000 * 94 / 100

Sale Price = 100 * 94

Sale price = 9,400

Now,

Sale price = Profit% /100 * CP

Therefore,

9400 = 100 + 24 / 100 * CP

9400 = 124 / 100 * CP

9400 * 100 / 124 = CP

CP = 940000/124

CP = 7580.64

Hence, The cost price of TV is Rs7580.64
