Electrolytic refining of Silver:

a). Anode- Impure Silver

Cathode- Pure silver

b). Suitable electrolyte: Salts of silver like AgNo3(Silver Nitrate) or Ag2So4(Silver Sulphate)

c). Pure silver will be obtained on cathode; because metals are electropositive.
