1.The SI unit of acceleration is meter per second square. The acceleration is said to be positive when acceleration is in the same direction and when it is in the opposite direction we say that acceleration is negative. The motion a freely falling body is an example of body moving with uniform acceleration.
2.Average speed is defined as the total distance travelled by the time taken whereas average velocity is defined as the displacement by the time taken. Since speed is a scalar quantity, the average speed is also considered as a scalar quantity while velocity is a vector quantity.
