Books are the best companions. Reading is a wonderful habit. By reading, one not only hones one's writing skills, but remains deeply engrossed on the story or subject to be affected by loneliness or boredom. Today, families are nuclear and smaller in size, consequently quite often we are alone in the house; in such situations, books are our best companions.

I have developed an interest in reading from my father, who is a voracious reader. He reads on diverse subjects and is able to take part in conversations on most matters under the sun.
