                                             Mahatma Gandhi
Mahatma Gandhi was born in October 2nd 1869,in an middle class-family in Porbandar,Gujarat.His mother's name is Putalibai Gandhi.His father's name was Karamchand Gandhi.His mother was very orthodox,she would not even eat before finishing her morning prayer.Although she was a Vaishnav she would go to shiva temples also.His father was the chairmen if Rajkot.In his school days gandhi did not study so well.Once an inspector came to his school,and there was a test for gandhi's class and gandhiji cannot answer the questions.The teacher thought that if anyone fails in the test,it would be a shame to his teaching.So he told Gandhi to copy in the test.But gandhi did not copy because he was always honest and walked in the path of dharma.The book loved by gandhi was 'Harichandra' because it was an story of honesty .Gandhiji was married in the early age of 13 to Kasthuribai Gandhi.When Gandhi finished passing in his matriculation exams he gone to a college in the hostel.After the first year Gandhiji came to his house.When he was in his house his father's old-friend and an adviser of his family came to his house.He suggested gandhiji to go to foreign and study law and finish his bairister.All the preparations such as getting passport,packing things.His elder brother gave him money to go to foreign.But only one thing was not satisfied,that his mother did not like sending him to foreign,because if he goes to foreign he will forget our indian culture which is very rich,Over all in foreign the youth will drink alcohol,smoke tobacco and treat girls in a bad manner.So his mother did not send him but Gandhiji prmised to his mom that he would never do these and then only his mother sent him.Gandhiji finshed his bairister and came to India.He came to know that his mother died.He saw the cruel government of the british in india.So he wanted India to get freedom,he struggled but not in the way of violence but in the way of non-violence(ahimsa).he did many fastings.He started the dandhi march for salt tax,he also started the Non-Cooperation movement.India got freedom in 1947,August 15.Gandhiji  died in 1948 january30 by kodse in a gun-shot.Gandhi was called Mahatma Gandhiji,because he was an maha-aathma.Later he was called the Father of the nation.

HE WAS A HINDU RULER BELONGING TO THE RAJPUT SURYAVANSHI CLAN. HE RULED THE MEWAR REGION(PRESENT DAY RAJASTHAN).
HE WAS THE SON OF RANA UDAY SINGH AND MAHARANI JAIWANTA BAI SONGARA. HE HAD 11 WIVES. HE WAS SUCCEEDED BY HIS SON AMAR SINGH. MAHARANA PRATAP WAS THE FIRST FREEDOM FIGHTER OF INDIA. HE WAS ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL RULERS OF THAT TIME.
