The Election Commission of India (ECI) has registered the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) as a political party. Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala had launched the JJP on December 9 after parting ways with his uncle and Leader of the Opposition Abhay Singh Chautala

The ECI, in its communication dated March 11, has stated that the Jannayak Janta Party stands registered as a political party under Section 29-A of the Representation of People Act, 1951 with effect from March 5, 2019.
