Martyrs day in India is celebrated to pay homage to the victims who fought for the freedom, welfare and progress of the India and sacrificed their lives. It is celebrated every year all over the country on 30th of January. India is the country among other 15 countries of the world where Martyrs Day is celebrated every year to pay homage to the freedom fighters.
Mahatma Gandhi was a Baniya (Merchant Cast) by birth but he always considered his religion humanity. For him, war was the blunt weapon and he followed non-violence, the sharpest weapon for getting the freedom.

What is actually martyr's day?Did you ever think about it ? Well it's a day when we give tribute to the martyr's who fought for their country and lost their lives.We pay salute to them thinking about the things they have done for our countries and the pain they have faced.On that day we have a quiet time in all the educational centers like schools,colleges etc.First they play the national anthem of that particular country and then they have a minute of silence and prayer.This happens every year and it's marked on 30th November.So just think about it.They have done it for us. Shouldn't we do something in return for them? Now lets talk about Gandhiji.He was a main member in this.He fought for our country even when we did not contribute in any of these . Nathuram Godse killed Gandhiji.He killed him during the war.After that Nathuram godse was sentenced to death.From that day on we pay tribute to all who fought for our country.
