The responsible use of water resources is one of the main challenges  human beings face nowadays. The waste of water in the cities is, therefore, a big problem. The Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) conducted a report on water wastage in a selection of 48 cities around the world based on water safety, supply, sanitation, wastewater management, drainage and treatment criteria. On a planet where water scarcity affects over 40% of the world's population, reducing unnecessary water usage is imperative to meet the sixth Sustainable Development Goal

The main cause of water waste in cities is often poor infrastructure, although many other factors influence the scarce use of water.

Water is one of the most precious gifts given by nature to the humanity. Life on the earth is possible only because of water. Three-fourth surface of earth is covered by water, but even though people are suffering from water scarcity in many regions of the India and other countries. The difficulties faced by the people in various regions due to water scarcity teach us to conserve and save water in order to protect the environment, save life and save world.

•Introduction: Water is one of the most used and necessary natural resources for ourselves which is not unlimited in our planet and that's why the wastage of water is extremely dangerous for ourselves.

•Water wastage in urban areas: An enormous amount of water is used at a daily basis in the urban areas which

is depleting the available water resources for ourselves.

• Consequences: If we don't stop this wastage of water we will surely loss this necessary resource from our planet which will become the reason behind our extinction.

• Conclusion: We have to save water and spread the awareness of water saving in the urban areas in order to secure a hassle free future for ourselves.
