Short news story on a day in the countryside .

Explanation:

As those living in cities may well know and understand, the hustle and bustle of the city life is sometimes a nuisance to our lives. the longing to be somewhere serene and calm, with no noise as such of vehicles honking or people shouting.

This tiny village in the corner of the state of Manipur in the Northeast part of the country is a place to be whenever things get too frustrating. Covered with lush green trees and mountains on all sides, the small huts made of mud and straw provide the very essence of nature living. the people are friendly, open and giving. they will not hesitate to help you if you are in trouble. And the most surprising thing is, if you get thirsty or hungry, they will not hesitate to let you quench your thirst in their homes, no payment expected.

Our day started with a simple chai, then a bit of sightseeing. Lunch came early, around 9 am and then the day's work start. In the evenings, dinners are made and taken at around 5-6 pm and then night comes. It gets dark earlier in these parts so thus, the timings for meals.

We spent our day roaming around the fields and exploring the wild, learning about their livelihood and at night, relative visits are common. Sitting around the fire (as it is winter) is a common thing, sharing news and drinking traditional tea and even sharing jokes end the night. The day, in all, was one which will forever be one of those better days I have ever spent, that too, among nature.
