Harmful effects of biodegradable wastes :

1) On decomposition they release an unpleasant odour

2) if not decomposed properly they might provide breeding grounds for many germs

3) untidiness

Harmful effects of non bio degradable wastes :

1) they cause soil pollution

2) as they do not decompose they cover the soil thus preventing water to enter into soil

3) as the cover the soil the buds or germinated seeds under them donot get sunlight thus this becomes an hinderance for its growth

4) untidiness and when they are burnt they produce many harmful gases
