Alai Darwaza is in the Qutb complex, located at Mehrauli in Delhi. It is the main gateway from the southern side of the Quwwat-ul-Islam Mosque. It was built by Ala-ud-din Khilji, the second Khilji Sultan of Delhi, in 1311 A.D.This is the first building in India to employ Islamic architecture and a reflection of Turkish craftsmanship.
