Cultural differences give rise to a great deal of complexity in the encoding and the decoding of messages not only because of the difference in languages, but also because of plenty of culture-specific assumptions at work in the mind of the sender and as well as the reciver. People belonging to different cultures may attach different meanings to words, symbols, gestures and behaviour or they may preceive each others social values, body language, attitude, to space distancing and time, social behaviour and manners, etc., i.e. the entire culture in generally, very differently depending upon their own standards, attitudes, customs, prejudies, opinions, behavioiral norms, etc., i.e. their own distinct culture. Thus, cultural barriers arise when people belonging to different culture insist on preserving their cultural identities and at a times, judge the other cultures as inferior to their ows.
