Evergreen rain forest are found in areas of heavy annual rainfall exceeding 250 cm. They are found mainly on the western slopes of  the western ghats and hills of north eastern states of Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Tripura, Manipura and Andaman and nicobar islands. These forests are dense and the trees grow to a great height. The trees are plants do not shed their leaves during the year at the same time . Hence they are evergreen. An evergreen rain forest is a forest made up of evergreen trees. The trees are evergreen as there is no period of drought. In India evergreen forests are found in Western slopes of Western Ghats in state such as kerala and karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, upper Assam, Odisha, etc. They are also found in hilly areas.
