Answer:

The phenomenon of the change of matter from one state to another and back to original state is known as interconversion of the sates of matter. Matter can be changed from one state to another by changing temperature or pressure. When heat energy is supplied to ice it changes into water and then to vapor.

Answer:

The change of state of matter from one state to another state and back to the original state of matter is known as inter-conversion of matter.

Melting - The conversion of a solid to its liquid state is melting. Example - Ice to water

Vaporisation - The conversion of a liquid to its gaseous state i.e. vapours by heating is vaporisation.

Liquefaction - The conversion of vapour in the gaseous state to its liquid state by cooling is liquefaction.

Solidification - The conversion of a liquid to its solid-state by freezing is solidification. Example - Water to Ice

Sublimation - The conversion of a solid directly to gaseous form and on cooling back to the solid-state is sublimation.
