(iii) Tube wells are also important sources of irrigation. Electricity helps in running these types of sources.
(iv) Rain - It is one of the basic naturally occurring sources of irrigation and they are not limited. In Palampur the land under cultivation has to be dependant on rainfall which acts as an important source of irrigation.
