NREGA stands for "National Rural Employment Guarantee Act"....... The act provides 100 days assured employment every year to every rural household in 200 districts. Later the scheme will be extended to 600 districts. Also, under this scheme 1/3 seats will be reserved for women and the Central Govt. will establish national employment guarentee funds. Similarly State Govt. will also create funds. Also, if jobs are not provivded within 15 days then daily unemployment allownaces will be provided.............

national rural employment gurantee act 2005 is an Indian labour law and social security measure that aims to guarantee the right to work the act was first proposed in 1991 by narasimha Roy in 2006 it was finally accepted in the parliament and commenced implementation in 200 districts of India it aims to enhance liveihood security in rural areas by providing at least 100 days of wage employment in a financial year to every household whose adult member volunteer to do unskilled manual work
