PANCH SHEELA:-
April 29, 1954, Panchsheel, or the Five Principles of Peaceful Co-existence, were first formally enunciated in the Agreement on Trade and Intercourse between the Tibet region of China and India. In its preamble, it stated that the two governments have resolved to enter into the present Agreement based on the following principles:-

i. Mutual respect for each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty

ii. Mutual non-aggression

iii. Mutual non-interference

iv. Equality and mutual benefit

v. Peaceful co-existence.

NON ALIGNMENT:-
Two power blocs, USA and the USSR , emerged as super powers while the British started losing control in the realm of international politics .As a result , many nations which had been under the control of the British attained independence. These new nations which were mainly underdeveloped , needed both financial and technical assistance.Joining either of the super power blocs at the cost of the other was not a prudent step. So the leaders of the new nations joined hands to establish a movement which was neither aligned to the USA nor the USSR.This movement came to be known as the non aligned movement.
