The Silk route was an ancient trade route which existed between Europe and Asia. It connected the eastern and central European empires to south and central Asian Empires.
This route was the only source to exchange commodities a 2000-2500 years ago.
Some major Kingdoms which were connected in trade via this route were,
Roman, Persian, Indian and the Chinese empire.
Later, when sea route were discovered the silk route lost its importance and was forgotten in the sands of time.
