Swachh Bharat Mission is launched by our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, on 2nd October 2014. The campaign aims to achieve the vision of a ‘Clean India’ by 2nd October 2019. To have our country 'India' be cleaned (as it was Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of a clean and hygienic India) may be the best tribute to our Father of Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary.

It is one of the most significant cleanliness campaign in India ever. It has become a ‘Jan Andolan’ receiving tremendous support from the people. Also, people have started to take part and are helping spread the message of ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness.’
