UNO is United Nations Organisation.
UNO was formally established on 24th October, 1945, after the Second World War, die to the failure of League of Nations to secure the world from the dangers of war.

UNO's main objective is to promote international cooperation and maintain security.
There are many organs and agencies of UNO.

The main organs are:

1. General Assembly, which is the PARLIAMENT OF UNO. The members of General Assembly are the member nations of UNO.

2. Security Council, which is the main organ, to maintain world peace.

3. Trusteeship Council (which is now dormant). Its function was to check proper administration of countries which was not independent.

4. Economic and Social Council.

5. The Secretariat, consisting of the Secretary General.

Now the agencies of UNO are:
1. UNDP or United Nations Development Programme.

2. UNICEF or United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund.

3. WHO or World Health Organisation.

4. UNESCO or United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation....
