Explanation:

Yesterday night I was watching a movie till 1.30. I went to sleep after 2. My father came to my room to wake me up. As I was so tired, I said I will be getting up after 10 minutes.  

When I woke up after a few minutes, to my horror, the time was 8.30.

I got up ready hastily as my classes begin at 9.00. I didn’t have my breakfast as I had no time. I rushed to the bus stop in a hurry.  

I hoped that the bus will be waiting there for me but Alas! my school bus was not there. I realized that i missed my school bus.

Then, I thought I will reach the school by a local bus, but it took more time than I thought.  

I stood there among a bunch of latecomers. I then made a decision not to watch movies till midnight.
