The aesthetics and dalit literature are unique. According to some experts, the dalit writer’s express freedom, equality, love and justice as the fundamental sentiments for the society and the people. They are considered more important than the beauty and pleasure.

Chandrabati is a Bengali poet. She is known as the first poetess in the Bengali language. She is known for her works on Ramayana that is women centric.
