Heya

your answer is:

Calcium is a metal and it's valency is 2(two). Calcium atomic number is 20(twenty) and therefore it's electronic configuration is 2,8,8,2. It's period is 4(four) and it's group is 2 (two). It's said that calcium floats on cold water because it's react with water slowly and less vigorously during this reaction less amount of hydrogen gas is release and collect on it surface therefore it's float.
