Heya!!!
Here's your answer!!!
Shortest life-span arthropods? I define a lifespan to be egg-to-egg. That record likely belongs to an arthropod that lives and reproduces in a temporary puddle in the desert or a vernal pool. I suggest as a well known candidate, Daphnia magna, the water flea which can have a lifespan of 40 days at 25C. Life cycles of arthropods generally depend upon temperature so a warm vernal pool might provide a faster development from egg to reproducing (egg laying) adult which could be parthenogenetic, making it even more efficient. The lifespan IMHO should be quoted to include the egg, embryonic, larval as well as adult development time.

Hope it helps!!
