sodium is very reactive...and it burns when it comes in contact with air...so to prevent it from burning it is stored in kerosene and it doesn't react with kerosene...

Becasue the sodium is leat reactive sbustance it react voilently with air and water thats why it is stored in the kerosene and kerosene did not react with the sodium
