Should corporal punishment be used in schools ? GIVE your views far or against..... plz give me ans in longgg..

Corporal punishments in schools and all other educational institutions has been banned by the state. People who do not follow this rule are committed to serious punishments whether they may be teachers or professors. It is a type of mental torture done to a student instead of explaining him politely about his mistakes which he must realise. It is not liked by teachers, parents or students. Still these days, some people practise it.
Being a victim of such an incident, I am really touched by the fact that even today some teachers practise it. Yesterday, my teacher beat me with a stick just because I scored less marks in her subject. I seriously oppose this. I did not react to it physically just because i respect my teachers, but I was really feeling embarrassed and shameful.
I would like to request my school management to look into this matter unless and until me and my parents take some strict actions against the teacher and the school
